GAPS (Global Animal Partnership Standards) is a step based set of standards designed to protect and enhance the welfare of farm animals. The standards are devised by the Global Animal Partnership but certification is audited and awarded by a neutral third party.

- Step 3: enhanced outdoor access
- Step 4: pasture centered
Natureland offers a range of chickens from steps 2, 3, and 4 and in all cases the birds are free to roam and graze naturally. They are also free from inhumane treatments such as beak trimming. Our step 4 chickens are a naturally slower growing chicken breed. The extra growth time allows the full rich flavor to develop producing a beautiful aroma when roasted.
