Which nut butter to choose

Everybody knows peanut butter, but what about all the other types of nut butter that are now available? Natureland provides you 6 tasty types of seed and nut butters and here’s what you need to know about them:

 

 

Peanut butter

 

Natureland’s peanut butter contains the pure taste and natural goodness of organic peanuts. It is made by slowly grinding the peanuts to extract the oils until a soft butter is formed. No soya or other oils are added. This is important, as commercial products are often mixed with refined and unhealthy oils. The result is pure peanut taste at its best. Peanut butter contains approximately 50% fat, 25% Protein, 20% carbohydrates and 5% fiber. While it contains high levels of Omega 6 fatty acids, it doesn’t contain Omega 3 fatty acids. It contains good levels of important vitamins and minerals including: vitamin E, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, magnesium, folate, copper and manganese.

 

Almond butter

 

Almonds are reported to be one of the healthiest types of nuts because of their unique combinations of vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats. The reported health benefits of almonds include lowering LDL cholesterol, protecting against diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and may even promote weight loss. Natureland’s almond butter is made from crushed organic almonds. Almond butter is reported to contain as much as 50% of the DV of vitamin E as well as minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron and phosphorous.

 

Hazelnut butter

 

Hazelnut butter contains all the delicious taste and nutrition of organic hazelnuts. Crushed until a soft buttery paste is formed, it is a delicious on bread or crackers. Hazelnut butter is a good source of folate and contains important minerals such as potassium, iron and magnesium. Some reports reflect that it contains twice as much vitamin E as peanut butter. Hazelnuts are reported to be particularly beneficial for heart health and a healthy skin.

 

Cashew butter

 

Cashews have a similar broad nutritional profile as almond and therefore offer similar health benefits. Cashew butter contains vitamin B, E & K. It also contains important minerals such as iron, potassium and magnesium. It is reported that cashews can help promote bone health in addition to cardiovascular benefits.

 

Sesame Butter

 

This rich tasting seed butter is an ideal alternative for people who have nut allergies or intolerances. It can be used as a spread or in cooking and baking. Sesame seeds are ground to make this delicious butter, retaining the healthy saturated fats and minerals including iron and magnesium. Unlike Peanut Butter, this spread contains Omega 3 fatty acids, which are believed to offer a range of health benefits, including prevention of cancer.


Hazelnut Choco Spread

 

Natureland’s unique recipe contains 45% organic hazelnuts and uses only a small amount of Aziz Whole Cane Sugar to sweeten the spread. This creamy and delicious spread is made entirely from organic ingredients and contains real vanilla.
